Historic Archive in 1887 as 'Ball of Snow'. Bourbon, Hybrid Perpetual, Noisette. White, green shading. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 2.5". Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in large clusters, cupped, globular, rosette, scalloped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Glossy, dark green, dense foliage. Height of 4' to 9' 10" (120 to 300 cm). Width of 3' to 4' (90 to 120 cm). USDA zone 5b through 10b. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
