Dark red Large-Flowered Climber.
Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-....) (France, 2006).
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 2007 as 'Crimson Sky'.
Introduced in France by Meilland International in 2009 as 'Negresco'.
Climber, Large-Flowered Climber.
Bright red vermilion. Fire engine red. Mild, apple fragrance. 38 petals. Average diameter 4.25". Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, old-fashioned bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Tall, climbing.
Height of 8' to 12' (245 to 365 cm).
USDA zone 5b and warmer. Can be used for garden or landscape. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Remove unproductive wood every third year or so.

A new and distinct climbing rose plant is provided which abundantly forms
on a nearly continuous basis attractive elegant blossoms that are red in
coloration. Vigorous dense dark green foliage semi-glossy foliage is
displayed that contrasts well with the red blossom coloration. Good
tolerance to Black Spot and Oidium has been observed. The plant is well
suited for providing attractive ornamentation in the landscape.
